I know people jump onto the tracks every day, but I was shocked to hear that at 'least' 8 people lost their lives today jumping in front of trains onto the 650 volt DC tracks, as trains sped into the platforms. One on the Bakerloo line, one at Paddington, Victoria line, District line, south London, Elephant & Castle & various stations.
None of these tragic events made it onto the news, I only heard about them over the public address system, over-hearing staff on their radios, other passengers, local London radio.
No-one seems to give a shit. It was such a lovely warm sunny day today here in London, but yet.. there was 'carnage' on the train system today.
I just think it's a very bad stain on human society how they don't give a damn about this sort of thing. Suicide here in the UK is the biggest cause of un-natural death, more so than road traffic accidents, murders, accidents or our troops in Afghanistan. Only natural disease/old age death is a bigger killer. A crying shame..!!!
